It was based in very beautiful building in a peaceful and absolutely perfect location, by two different bus lines. Further, it was near frequent buses and a cycle way, an Old Bridge and an Old town, and the cafe overlooking the river.

The breakfast is good with variety of dishes. The deluxe room is fabulous and has a safe box, a mini bar and central heating. It has marvellous setting to the old bridge in Heidelberg. Plus, this hotel is not far from the bus stop, and mountain.

Location- out of town, one physically has to exit the City. Not walking distance by any means. Parking is extremely limited and it is very difficult to park in the limited space provided. Rooms are basic and in need of refurbishing. Breakfast also very limited not the usual nice B&B type one would expect in this part of Europe. Not worth the money by any means.

A great hotel, Ideal for a base to explore Heidelberg and the Neckar Valley. Close to Local Public Transport. Our spacious room had views over the Neckar. We were recommended local restaurants, these were of great quality and value for money. Good Breakfast
A little local traffic noise, but the views form the balcony are great.

Friendly management , quiet position , nice structure , well maintened . The internet link is free and the Manager is very friendly to help you for every need.
Far from Heidelberg center , with a lot of first morning ( 08.00 - 10.00 am ) traffic to reach the Heidelberg center . No nice restaurants in the area , you must take the car to reach the Heidelberg center

The courtesy of the staff was wonderful and so was the breakfast. Also, they recommended a restaurant right down the street that was excellent, but not pricey.
The credit card machine went down, so I would advise travellers to bring enough Euro cash to cover the room. There wasn't a convenient ATM nearby that I found.

The view of the river from my room was absolutely stunning. Watching the boats and trains go by all day was so enjoyable. The family owners were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The location of the hotel was perfect, allowing me to easily take the bus along the river and explore the beautiful town. I highly recommend Hotel Neckarlux for a memorable stay in Heidelberg.

Location. This is a beautiful, quiet location. Walking/running trail along the river. Easy bus ride (#34) to centre of town and to the Lufthansa shuttle van to the airport.
While we loved the comfortable foam mattresses we did not like the cover- a little too scratchy- needs an additional sheet.

Good size room, good value. Nice shower.
Not that keen on breakfast, all ham and cheese, rather than bacon and eggs but otherwise fine. Advertised car park was very difficult to get in and out of in a large car.

Spacious room, good storage and TV. Breakfast had variety with different teas. Friendly reception staff. Paved "garden" with river view. Far from city but known beforehand. Convenient bus stations nearby. Big, clean rooms and large bathroom with bathtub. Key given early for exploring. Tricky parking entrance, manageable for experienced drivers. Good value for money.

This cozy hotel is located in a quaint village between two busy streets, right between the bus stop which takes you to the old town in just 8 minutes. the rooms are spacious, with lovely balconies perfect for watching boats pass on the river and trains go by all day. the family-run business offers top-notch customer service and serves up some delicious food, particularly the Jagerschnitzel and Dachsenfranz beer.
The parking situation is a bit challenging, and the heating in the rooms could be better during colder seasons.

Nice view to the Neckar valley,
However the traffic on the road just below the hotel and the river bans was significantly disturbing. The hotel is located app. 3 km away from the Heidelberg old city.
